SUKAAqua NSR Denitration Product

Toxic nitrites and nitratesform in aquaculture water as a result of the breakdown of ammonia to nitrite and then to nitrate by bacteria in a process called nitrification and denitrification.   • WHAT IS SUKAAQUA NSR?
    SUKAAqua NSR is a highly concentrated blend of non-pathogenic autotrophic beneficial micro-organism that simultaneously oxidizes hydrogen sulfide to sulfate or elemental sulfur and reduces ammonia to nitrate and to nitrogen gas. These highly selected strains are natural and not genetically engineered and are many, many times more powerful than the bacteria found in the average aquaculture pond. They can denitrify even in the presence of oxygen but has preference for anaerobic systems. They can utilize carbon dioxide as a carbon source, making this product especially useful in systems where the carbon source has been exhausted and where denitrification process is most imperative.   • HOW DOES IT WORK?
    The microbes and enzymes present in SUKAAqua NSR with specific biodegrading abilities are able to proliferate and degrade organic sludge matters in pond bottom under aerobic as well as anaerobic conditions. The conversion of ammonia to N2 and eventual release from the water will reduce the build-up of toxic substances in the sludge and water system. In a coupled oxidation reaction, inorganic sulfur compound like hydrogen sulfide is converted to sulfates during the denitrification process resulting in a reduction in the odor of the sludge and water. The sudden massive infusion and growth of beneficial bacteria prevent other pathogenic strains of bacteria from growing. Applied properly, the amount sludge and suspended organic matters will be reduced over a short period of time. Balanced water ecology will result and maintained.

  • STORAGE & SHELF LIFE:
    Store product in cool, dry place and away from sunlight. SUKA-AQUA-NSR maintains its activity for considerably longer time when stored at lower temperatures (below 25) but should not be frozen. Keep out of reach of children.
  • HANDLING:
    Due to the high bacteria content in SUKAAqua NSR, wash hands with warm soapy water after handling. Avoid direct inhalation when using the powdered form. Do not ingest the product even if it is non-toxic and bio-degradable. Unnecessary contact with the product should be avoided. Long term exposure to it may cause undesirable reaction in individuals sensitive to the product.

    For liquid form, SUKAAqua NSR is packaged in 1 L/plastic container or 25 L/plastic drum. The solid preparation is packed as 200 g/plastic package, 1 kg/plastic package or 20 kg per box or film lined woven bag. Alternative packaging is available upon request.
